Be a Part of our Transformation

We are transforming this historic house into a well-being community space. Imagine it: a place where workshops, gatherings, treatments, and even a bed and breakfast can take place – all designed to support our collective health and happiness.

This historic home was built by sharecropper and developer, Richard Wright III in 1930. A true gem in Durham, the property is at risk for redevelopment. It sits on 2.6 acres overlooking Duke Park. The home needs some care; it is 6,000-square-feet, with six bedrooms, six-and-a-half baths, and so much more. For years, it has stood as a testament to the beauty and history of our neighborhood, hosting large holiday parties, weddings, fundraisers, birthdays, neighborhood gatherings, and even designer showcases.

We are raising $200k to restore this house and turn it into a forever home for Bulltánica! I know this is an ambitious goal, but I truly believe we can do it. I believe in the strength of our communities. I believe that together, we can save this house, turn it into a sanctuary for well-being, and create a lasting legacy for future generations.

This is where you come in. Every single donation, no matter how big or small, will bring us one step closer to making this dream a reality. We need your help, your support, and your belief in what we’re doing.

If you can, please consider making a contribution today. Whether you’re able to donate financially or lend a helping hand in any other way, every effort counts.

I truly thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generosity and support. Let’s come together and make this vision a reality. Let’s save this historic house, let’s create a community space that embodies all that we stand for, and let’s leave a lasting impact for the generations to come.

Our mission is to create an inclusive sanctuary for well-being, personal growth, and communal engagement. Through a diverse range of programs, including holistic healing workshops, therapeutic services, and cultural events, Bulltánica at Whitehall Terrace will serve as a catalyst for resilience and renewal. In our current space, we’ve offered sliding scale and free massage, yoga, meditation, childbirth education classes, herbal medicine and herbal classes, GED classes, and children’s afterschool programs to hundreds of BIPOC, queer, low income, and neurodivergent people including elders and kids. At Whitehall Terrace, we could grow our offerings and serve so many more.
